1965 Chin Lee Foundry was established by the Goh family of Klang, Malaysia. Primary business is in aluminium casting for the food industry and shipping components, especially fabrication of Marine Propellers
1975 Expanded business to include products for electrical industry(fitting and joints) and ventured into copper casting.
1985 Further expanded into cast iron, ferrous and non-ferrous materials. At this time, bulk of work orders are from the palm oil and rubber industry. Begin to try out stainless steel casting.
1989 New era begins, with the formation a new entity, Hunta Foundry (M) Sdn Bhd, from Chin Lee Foundry to better handle the challenges faced in the competitive foundry landscape. With Hunta Foundry, heavy investment is made to acquire the latest foundry furnace(electric induction furnace) and machinery. This decision is taken as stainless steel casting requires upgrade to electrical furnace for higher quality furnishing. Due to this, Hunta is able to grab more businesses from the rubber industry.
1999 Hunta started producing parts for concrete mixers.
2000 During the slowdown in the construction sector, Hunta not only persevered but successfully entered the market for power industry, specifically making parts such as cooling systems, water pumps, valves, bearing housing service for power plants.
2003 Sucessfully penetrated the Oil And Gas industry providing casting services for parts such as propellers, cooling system, water pumps, etc
2004 In line with the Hunta’s commitment to making quality products and increased demand by customers for certified or, at least, quantified casting compositions, an investment in a MS Spectrometer is made and this enables accurate in-house analysis of metal compositions. This acquisition enables Hunta to dramatically increase its Quality Assurance (QA) level for all of its products.
2005 Gradually upgraded investment casting capabilities(with the addition of 3 units of CNC machines) which enables Hunta to take up precision casting orders.
2007 Hunta produces its own line of oil pumps and sand casting molds.
2008 Heralds the next phase of Hunta’s growth with the completion of a new ultra modern factory to cater to ever increasing customer requirements and also to provide a better working environment to our employees. Equally importantly, Hunta now focuses on sound managment and operational practice by putting in place a strong managment team and an efficient organisational structure.
